Event in Joinville discusses creation of export processing zone

Businessmen from the North of Santa Catarina and authorities meet this Wednesday, 28, to discuss the tax, exchange and administrative regime resulting from the new legal framework of the Processing and Export Zones (ZPE).

The event will be held at the HUB auditorium at Ágora Tech Park, in Joinville, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

These areas have free trade conditions, aimed at the production of goods and services linked to the industrialization of goods destined for export, and the purpose is to strengthen the economy of Joinville and region. A year ago, it was allowed that, through a ZPE, the private sector can invest directly both in the establishment of this bonded area and in its administration.

Schedule

The event will be attended by Professor Helson Braga, president of the Brazilian Association of Processing and Export Zones (Abrazpe) to talk about the subject, accompanied by his project advisor, Felipe Braga.

There will also be a panel with the theme “Expansion of Logistics in the North of Santa Catarina”, which will bring together directors and managers of prominent companies that operate in the areas of import and export. The objective is that, together with authorities, it is reflected on improvements in the sector.

Tickets

The ticket price is R$ 50, which will be allocated to Associação Projeto Resgate, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that offers scholarships to low-income families in private schools. Applications can be made at this link.
