Demystifying Cargo and Air Transit Control.

An integrative government system that promises a logistical revolution.

Ready for innovation? Cargo and Air Transit Control, known only as CCT Aéreo, is about to start operating in Brazil, and will certainly bring significant changes to the area of logistics and international trade.

We prepared this content to shed some light on what Air CCT is, explain some of its benefits, how data transmission will work and who needs to adapt to this new era.

Basic working concept:

The CCT Aéreo is a data transmission system that will cover transport and logistics operations, both imported and in customs transit, carried out at Brazilian airports. This innovation, made available by the government, aims to integrate the corporate systems that each company uses to the Single Foreign Trade Portal, following the standard defined by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). With this, it is expected to speed up clearance and ensure much greater efficiency in handling cargo, with less intervention by the Federal Revenue Service.

Discover some of the benefits of the New Air CCT:

The implementation of the Air CCT brings a series of benefits to the logistics and international trade sector. Firstly, the control of changes in responsibility for the cargo will be improved, providing greater transparency and reliability in the handling process, from the arrival of the goods to the final delivery to the importer.

Through the integrated online system, in line with IATA's international standard, controls will be simplified and less bureaucratic, allowing faster release of cargo, with greater customs security and less intervention by the Federal Revenue Service. In addition, full e-AWB compatibility ensures more efficient management of all air cargo shipments on enabled trade routes.

Data Transmission with the New Air CCT:

With the new Air CCT, data transmission will take place via Cargo-XML, using a specific integration key that follows IATA regulations. This approach provides faster and more efficient data transmission, allowing messages to be easily recognized and read. Totally different from the current Siscomex Mantra, which uses manual processes, and subject to bureaucratic requirements for regularization and temporary unavailability.

To be part of this new system, transport companies, freight forwarders and depositaries will need to be qualified on this platform, which integrates the systems of the Federal Revenue Service, Airlines, Depository, Importers and Intervening Parties.

Who should adapt to the New Air CCT?

Carriers, freight forwarders and warehousekeepers will be the main segments that will have to comply with the new system. With the new system, freight forwarders will be responsible for transmitting the data of each HAWB and House BL Manifest, which will require qualified technical support in the normative instructions of this innovative process.

Wolff Cargo has been adapting and updating its corporate system for some time to be fully up to date with the deadlines for implementing this new way of automatically sending data to the Federal Revenue Service.

It is worth noting that the ideal is always to work in partnership with a freight forwarder who is up-to-date, and who works within internationally required standards to avoid headaches for your business.
