The cargo transport industry has experienced notable growth, significantly driving the increase in services across the sector, recorded at 20.9% still in March, according to data recently released by the National Transport Confederation (CNT).
This development reflects a promising recovery in the global economy, as well as the growing demand for efficient and reliable logistics for the sector.
It is not news that cargo transport plays an essential role in the supply of goods and merchandise around the world, and despite fluctuations and dependence on some political approval processes, the sector has proven to be resilient, adapting quickly to changes. in the economic environment and the needs of the market.
The increase in international trade, combined with the recovery of key sectors, has been one of the main drivers of this substantial growth.
As José Alberto Panzan, president of the Union of Cargo Transport Companies of Campinas and Region (SINDICAMP) states, in the current scenario, cargo transport serves as an economy thermometer, where there is an increase in consumption, the industry needs to replace trade , thus increasing the activity of those who work in the area.
The performance of the activity so far was above market forecasts, of 1.23%, calculated based on factors on which the sector is strongly influenced, such as the fiscal framework, the fuel price policy, the approval of reforms structures and the maintenance of interest rates, which end up inhibiting, mainly, private investments.
When there are changes, it is necessary to base it on the history of demands and also on the expectation of growth to organize itself, invest in assets and, above all, human capital”, comments the executive.
Faced with this growth scenario, carriers are preparing through adaptations and new resources to meet the growing demand presented in the 2023 semester, being a great opportunity to restructure their areas, aiming at quality and operational capacity, further improving the logistic system.
“With all this demand allocated to the sector, carriers need to know their customers, their expectations and their projects. The analysis of news and market trends are great allies at this time for planning greater growth in the sector in line with the expectations we have for the coming months.”, concludes José Alberto.
